18ct Yellow Gold Star Ruby & White Sapphire Ring
An unusual claw set Star Ruby and White Sapphire cluster ring mounted in 18ct yellow and rose gold. When you look at the star ruby it is a dark brown/grey colour, but when it is held up to the light you can see that the stone has a red glow. It measures 1 cm down by 7 mm across at the widest part. The cluster overall is 1.6 cm by 1.4 cm and stands 1 cm proud of the finger
The star ruby is held securely by 8 gold claws and is surrounded by 14 claw set white sapphire stones. The setting that the white sapphires are mounted into has an attractive fluted edge going around the base. The mount for the star ruby and white sapphires is in 18ct yellow gold. The underside of the mount and the ring shank are 18ct rose gold. The hallmark inside the shank is indistinct but this ring has been examined and tested and is confirmed to be 18ct gold.
This ring is size 'M' and weighs 3.8 grams.
